Normally we attach loft bed to the walls with appr. 14 special screws. Each and everyone can hold up to 70 kilos. On top of this, loft bed is also hanging on specially made ceiling mount which can hold extra 500 kilos. Or alternatively, loft bed is held by ladder or stairs. Shortly: our loft beds are extremely stable and they can hold weight of as many people as can fit on the bed, plus some more.
It usually is up to 14 small holes (8-10 mm diameter) in the wall. These holes can easily be filed and removed with spackle.
It all depends on what design you choose. But after we have prepared everything in our workshop the work in the apartment takes 1 to 3 days.
The height is of course depending on how big space do you want to have above or under the bed. Minimum space that we recommend between madras and ceiling is 70 cm. Then you need to add the thickness of your madras and thickness of loft bed, which is around 9 cm (depending on the design). The rest is the free space you get under your loft bed.
You can use any kind of madras you want. It can be sponge or wooden framed madras.
We have a big variety of ladders. You can absolutely get removable ladder which you can put up on the loftbed or hang on the side when you are not using loft bed anymore.
If you want to feel extra safe up there you can absolutely get a safety fence from us in addition. It can either be removable or stationary fence, it is also up to you.
We use pine, oak, etc. Wood can either be untouched and natural color or painted, oiled, patinated or refined with different sorts of stains.
Absolutely. Once you have contacted us and are interested, we come by and do the inspection for free. We inspect walls where the loft bed is going to be. Afterwards, if you have already decided the design, we explain where and how loft bed is going to be mounted. Or, alternatively, you can get advise, sketch and design from us.
